Big news in the peripheral market as Mad Catz have officially sold Tritton Technologies to Silkysea International Ltd.
Lucian Lu, Executive Board of Directors for Mad Catz Global Limited, said in the press release:
“Since announcing the return of the Mad Catz brand in January 2018, we have been overwhelmed with support from retail, distributors and the gaming community. We remain highly focused on exceeding expectations for the brand, and look forward to the imminent shipping of our first line of new Mad Catz products. As we put our combined efforts into growing the Mad Catz brand, we are pleased to find a buyer who can devote the time and resources needed to see the Tritton line flourish and wish Silkysea International every good luck with their future Tritton endevours.”
Mad Catz originally acquired Tritton back in 2010 has have experienced a massive overhaul within the past 18 months. Back in March 2017, the company filed for bankruptcy, but was brought back earlier this year. Silkysea International also acquired all the trademarks for Russia, United States, Hong Kong, and China.
