The internet has gone crazy after images of the LinkedIn profile of Microsoft employee David Gardner were posted online suggesting that Microsoft was working on a new console under the name Xbox neXt.

However, Microsoft responded to these rumors by issuing a small statement to IGN. Stating..

“Xbox neXt was an old internal team name for a group that worked on releasing Xbox One and is not related to a future console. We have nothing further to share.”
