According to Japanese sales tracking firm Media Create, Minecraft: PS Vita Edition has officially sold 1,018,699 copies in Japan. This comes after 51,723 copies were sold in the country between December 19 and December 25. It’s also worth mentioning this is the first game on a Sony platform to sell over 1 million copies since Gran Turismo 4 did back in 2004 on the Playstation 2.
It’s also ironic that Minecraft is owned now by their competitor Microsoft on a console that has been abandoned for quite some time.
