4J Studios, the company that developed the Xbox 360 port of Minecraft, revealed a trophy they received from Microsoft stating that Minecraft is the #1 selling game on Xbox 360.
According to statistics, 20 million copies of Minecraft have sold on Xbox 360 alone. Given that 84 million Xbox 360s have sold worldwide, this would equate to 24% of Xbox 360 owners owning Minecraft on the system.
Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition was released on May 9, 2012.
