Japanese outlet Famitsu have revealed that ‘Mr Sega’ Hidekazu Yukawa has passed away at the age of 78. Yukawa passed away last June from pneumonia, but the family never made that public until now.
Known as ‘Mr Sega’ in Japan, Yukawa became a staple of Sega during the days of the Dreamcast appearing in several commercials within the country and was even so popular there was a special Dreamcast name. Yukawa has his own Dreamcast game titled Yukawa Motosenmu no Otakara Sagashi and made a cameo in Shenmue and Sonic Adventure.
