Kara trying out Naughty America VR at E3 2016
Tucked away in the back corner of E3 2016’s show floor was a very unexpected exhibit. Despite it’s out of the way location, San Diego based Naughty America’s booth was always packed with captivated E3 attendees waiting to try out their new product: VR pornography.
Of course, I too had to give it a go. While waiting in line, I was surprised how many people asked my friend and I if we were “really going to test” the product. Each time we were asked, we happily replied that we were just as curious as everyone in line, and it was definitely an eye opening experience to say the least. With the ability to watch from both a man and a woman’s perspective, I had to try both. It’s fascinating how different the two versions were, as one had a lot more conversation, where the other went straight to business. Not to mention, it was definitely startling to look down from the man’s perspective to see… well, you know.
Shortly after E3 we managed to snag a quick interview with Naughty America’s CIO Ian Paul. Here’s what Ian had to say about their forthcoming VR product:
Gaming Conviction: Do you see virtual reality to be the future of the porn industry?
Ian Paul: VR is most certainly the future of porn. Once you try it and experience the immersion, it’s hard to go back to watching porn in a small window.
GC: What VR headsets does Naughty America VR currently work on?
IP: Naughty America VR content supports the Samsung Gear VR, the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and generic cardboards.
GC: Does Naughty America VR support toy synchronization?
IP: Right now, Naughty America does not support teledildonics or synchronized toys but is working with a few companies to explore the space.
GC: Is it included with anyone who has a membership with Naughty America?
IP: Yes, Naughty America VR is included in a membership subscription with an additional library of over 8000 HD and 4K scenes for $24.95 a month.
So whether you’re ready or not, your favorite adult films will soon be making their way to your VR headset. Just make sure you lock your doors before testing it out at home. That wouldn’t be fun to try to explain if your mom walked in!
