Video game publishers Netmarble have announced they are establishing a management council known as the Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) Management Council to further advance the company’s commitment to sustainable management.
The ESG Management Council will act as the control tower for the establishment and deliberation of ESG management. The Council’s governing body will be comprised of Netmarble CEO Kwon Young-sig as President, along with Netmarble CFO Do Ki-wook and Senior Vice President Kim Sung-cheal. The ESG Management Office will perform ESG-related activities for the Council, working closely with various parties including divisions within Netmarble and external advisory council in various fields of corporate, academic, and NGO.
This is an effort by the company to be more carbon neutral using renewable energy and reducing CO2(Carbon Dioxide) emissions by 5,300 tons annually.
