In what could be the end of an era the New York Excelsior have announced they have parted ways with the Octopus King Sung-hyeon JJoNak Bang.

JJoNak is one of the most beloved players in the Overwatch community and had been with the team as a support player since the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. The Excelsior would also have in-game strategies that would solely revolve around the support player and won the T-Mobile MVP award during the 2018 season.

It’s believed that JJoNak was able to explore interest from other teams prior to this release. This still leaves the possibility that he could be resigned by the team at a later date.
