New York Times Acquires Wordle

Josh Wardle, creator of the popular online puzzle game Wordle, has announced the game has been acquired by the New York Times.

Worlde has seen a growth that many game developers only dream of. The game has around 90 players per day back in November 2021 and now grown to several million players per day.

While the exact sales figure is unknown, Wardle did say that the number was “in the low seven figures.”
