We’ve seen a major influence among top YouTubers and Twitch streamers regarding new and upcoming releases of video games. With Tyler “Ninja” Blevins being the most mainstream among Twitch streamers, he seems to have made an insane amount of money when it came to Apex Legends.
According to a new report by Reuters, Electronic Arts paid Ninja $1 million to promote Apex Legends during launch day. While it was transparent in that his stream title did not he was a “Apex Legends partner,” the amount earned was never disclosed. A representative for the company essentially confirmed the amount to Kotaku where they noted the marketing campaign which included “paid engagements with some content creators at the launch of the game.”
Other amounts for top streamers have not been disclosed.
