One of the biggest flops in video game history has got to be the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive, better known as the 64DD. While it bombed in Japan and never saw the light of day in the States, that doesn’t mean that some things don’t exist.
A eBay user who goes by techphoneguy has placed a Nintendo 64DD Blue Prototype Disk up for sale. The user claims to have gotten it from a very reliable source and that it was used in development. The thing that has the capability to make this extremely interesting is that the contents of what is in the prototype is unknown as the seller admits to not owning the 64DD drive.
The current asking price for this prototype is $2,000.
