Nintendo Accused To Violating Labor Rights

New paperwork has been filed with the National Labor Relations Board in Washington that states that Nintendo of American and their hiring contractors Aston Carter violated several labor violations. According to a report by Axios, an unnamed Nintendo employee said that Aston Carter violated their right to unionize.

While documents have not been made public since the case was just filed on April 15, allegations have been readily available. Accusations against Nintendo and Aston Carter include the following:

  • 8(a)(1) Coercive Statements (Threats, Promises of Benefits, etc.)
  • 8(a)(1) Coercive Actions (Surveillance, etc)
  • 8(a)(3) Discharge (Including Layoff and Refusal to Hire (not salting))
  • 8(a)(1) Concerted Activities (Retaliation, Discharge, Discipline)

Neither Nintendo nor Aston Carter have commented on the matter.
