In what could easily be seen as a reason why we could be seeing a lot more Nintendo games on smartphones, the company revealed they earned more money from smartphone games than 3DS games.
Super Mario Run and other smartphone apps accounted for $81 million in revenue, while Pokémon GO contributed with $29 million.This equals $110 million and is slightly more than the $105 million they earned from 3DS games.
It’s also worth noting the 3DS numbers do not include hardware sales.
