First reported by Reuters, Nintendo will be giving all their employees in Japan a 10% raise in salary. This comes after Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida pushed more companies within the country to increase pay alongside the inflation.
Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said in an earnings call:
It’s important for our long-term growth to secure our workforce.”
Nintendo recently lowered their financial forecast by 7.5% compared to the previous fiscal year.
