Maxwell Bateman, esports manager of NRG Esports and the San Francisco Shock, has been fired from the organization after allegations of sexual assault.
This comes after Twitch streamer Krystlin Luna alleged that Bateman sexually assaulted her after a night out partying. The details of the assault are listed in a Twitlonger statement posted to Twitter by Luna.
Luna wrote..
“Sexual assault is a serious issue and an act of violence. It’s more common than we think and some people are too scared or ashamed to say anything; or some people think nothing wrong happened because you were dating or best friends. People who had it happen to them shouldn’t be afraid of speaking up.”
NRG Esports CEO Andy Miller took to Twiiter to issue this brief statement..
“In accordance with NRG Esports’ zero tolerance policy, Max Bateman will no longer be employed by the organization.”
