Numerous players participating in WESG’s CS:GO World Finals have taken to social media to proclaim their poor living conditions within their hotels provided by WESG. These complaints include brown water, dust, mold, cockroaches, and poor infrastructure. According to Cloud9’s Will “RUSH” Wierzba, WESG’s original hotel provider said they “can’t accommodate” the players.
Cloud9’s Tarik Celik took to Twitter to say that the organization decided to move hotels due to the conditions. Writing..
“The hotel WESG provided is unacceptable. Genuinely sorry for anyone still there and hope everyone can find new arrangements asap. I would highly recommend sticking with a reputable chain such as Hilton, Marriott, or Sheraton.”
WESG eventually apologized for the state of the hotel and issued a statement via Twitter.
If you want to see how bad the conditions were, Starcraft 2 player Artur “Nerchio” Bloch posted in image showing mold growing on his air conditioning unit.
