Despite patch 1.15 being released on September 19. the Overwatch Contenders league continues to use patch 1.14 and will continue to do so throughout the playoffs. It’s believed that if Blizzard decided to use patch 1.15, it could have caused chaos among the competitors due to the amount of changes such as Mercy being completely reworked and D.Va’s new Micro Missiles.
The Overwatch Contenders playoffs will take place from October 6-8.
