Overwatch League Grand Finals Viewership Sets Record

According to Kris Holt of Forbes, the 2021 Overwatch League Grand Finals set an all-time viewership record. According to viewership numbers supplied by Blizzard, average minute audience on YouTube was 218,000 with a global AMA of 1.68 million. This would mark an 8% increase in viewers compared to the 2020 Grand Finals.

Interestingly, the 2021 Overwatch League season was exclusive to Bilibili in China compared to multiple live-streaming services last year. Some have still been hesitant on the numbers considering that many have questions the legitimacy of numbers that come out of the country.

The 2022 season of the Overwatch League will be played on an early build of Overwatch 2.
