Pitfall is a cult classic among the retro gaming community and it’s no surprise that even to this day people are still copying the ideas of Pitfall and Pitfall Harry. Many gamers nowadays tend to forget that Activision also made a sequel called Pitfall II: Lost Caverns.
A prototype of Pitfall II: Lost Caverns for Atari 2600 has recently been spotted on eBay. The seller goes by the name taitocorp (not owned by the actual Taito Corporation). Unlike Pitfall, there’s no time limit and you have unlimited lives. If you touch an enemy, you are transported back to the last checkpoint, losing points along the way.
The current asking price is set at $9,995.
