During Sony Investor Relations Day 2018, Playstation President and CEO John (Tsuyoshi) Kodera said that the Playstation 4 is entering the final stages of its life cycle.
While this sounds bad to some investors, Kodern reassured the company does see recurring revenue from Playstation Plus which could soften the blow. It could also mean that the company are working on a next generation console.
The Playstation 4 originally released in North America and Europe back in November 2013 and has gone on to sell over 79 million units worldwide.
