Question Regarding Hourly Pay Wanted Removed From GameStop Applications

Several store managers and keyholders have taken to Reddit to reveal that thanks to GameStop’s human resources department, the question regarding a potential employee’s hourly pay wanted has been removed from their applications. The original poster on the GameStop subreddit stated:

So HR decided to change how the application process works. There use to be a question on it asking about the hour pay wanted by the applicant. This allowed Store Leaders to not waste their own time with applicants who expected a probably normal amount of pay, but with GameStop’s low pay was something not feasible for stores. Now with that off the list I’ve already had a couple of interviews breakdown at the pay point which the old application would have allowed me to not waste my time with said interviews if I could see their wanted pay upfront.

Many managers feel like this should be on the list at least as a way to deter some potential employees and not waste anyone’s time who would otherwise not be serious about employment.
