Many fans of the Resident Evil franchise are sitting on the end of their seats as Capcom has trademarked Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps in Japan and Europe. The trademark was noticed on the OHIM listed as “Umbrella Corps” which has led everyone to believe that it might be its own spin-off.
Since it was noticed, the Japanese Patent and Trademark Office lists the trademark as “Biohazard Umbrella Corps.”
For those who aren’t familiar, Biohazard is what Resident Evil is refereed to in Japan. Only time will tell on exactly what it is, but expect an announcement shortly.
