Kadokawa Games announced that Root Letter has sold 200,000 copies worldwide. This number includes both physical and digital copies.
While the company did not reveal the exact metrics, Famitsu did confirm that 8,907 of those copies were sold in Japan. The game has been available in Japan and Asia since June 2016, The game has also been out since November in Europe and North America.
