If a new video by Tyler McVicker is to be believed, CD Projekt RED have started development on Cyberpunk 2077’s multiplayer yet again. This comes after some of his sources within the modding community have started to have trouble updating their mods.
McVicker stated:
“1.3 broke all the mods. Everything. It broke everything. It signifies that, on the engine level, everything has changed. I’ve talked with a few people that are deep into the modding scene and they have told me that fundamental building blocks of what creates the Red Engine Version 4 and Cyberpunk 2077 have been rebuilt — almost from scratch.”
These issues, along with code discovered in a datamine, hint that this could very well be the case.
