According to sources for Brazilian dataminer Matheusvictorbr, Rockstar Games are experiencing issues with the development of Grand Theft Auto V: Expanded and Enhanced. So much so that the planned March release could be delayed to April or May 2022.
The plan was said to just upgrade the previous version of the game with patches alongside GTA Online: Standalone, but couldn’t do to the continued growth of GTA Online. It’s said that this PS5/Xbox Series version is the reason for GTA Online: Standalone still not receiving a release date even though it was originally said to release by the end of 2021.
While some are skeptical on the reliability of this dataminer, some believe this could still be true considering the disastrous launch of The Definitive Edition.
At the time of publishing, Take-Two Interactive nor Rockstar Games have made any mention of a delay.
