According to three sources for Eurogamer, The Nintendo Switch will have GameCube virtual console support. The sources note that support has been tested and approved and so far three games will be coming to Switch. These games include Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Luigi’s Mansion.
Sources also indicate that Switch’s Virtual Console is being developed by NERD, the studio behind the NES mini and will feature an upgrade program similar to the one that exists on Wii U.
Nintendo has not commented on the matter.
