Even since Shenmue 3 was announced at E3 this year people have gone absolutely crazy about it, especially on Kickstarter. Well it’s hard to believe that today is the last day to pledge money to it’s Kickstarter as it ends at 4pm PT. Shenmue 3 is now the highest crowdfunded video game in Kickstarter history. As of publishing it has $5,627,329 raised with 62,324 backers. This beats the previous record for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night which raised $5,545,991. It is also now the 8th most funded project in site history.
