Square-Enix has announced they will be closing down their cloud technology business Shinra Technologies. Square-Enix stated..
“STI, as a cloud platform operator, has been trying to raise funds necessary for further business operations from third party investors. However, STI has found no prospective investors at this point, and therefore has to discontinue its business.”
Square-Enix has also prepared its shareholders by telling them to expect a loss of ¥2 billion yen due to liquidation. The U.S. division will be closed on March 31 while Japan will close on June 30.
