EA COO Peter Moore revealed today that the highly anticipated upcoming shooter Star Wars Battlefront are having “extremely strong preorders.”Although he wouldn’t specify any numbers.
Moore acknowledged that pre-orders are down due to the rise of digital gaming. Saying..
“More and more, as we see digital start take a hold with our consumers, that preorders become less of a key indicator.”
EA expects to see a larger increase in pre-orders after it’s “pivotal” moment next week at Gamescon. Star Wars Battlefront is expected to sell 9-10 million copies by the end of Q1 2016.
Star Wars Battlefront is in development for PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 and will be released on November 17.
