After years of demand from fans around the world, Nintendo officially announced during their Nintendo Direct event they will be remaking Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for Switch.
Super Mario RPG has only been re-released once since original launch on Super Nintendo back in 1996. That was for the Wii Virtual Console which has since been shut down in an official matter. There were also plans to create a sequel to the game, but that was scrapped and reworked into Paper Mario.
This remake will launch worldwide on November 17. You can view the announcement trailer down below:
