Nintendo have announced they are extending development of the Super NES Classic Edition into the 2018 year. The console was originally scheduled to cease production at the end of the year. The reason for this decision was due to “incredible demand.” Nintendo also promises to ship more SNES Classic Editions on launch day than the amount of NES Classic Editions shipped last year.
The company also revealed they are developing more NES Classic Editions for Summer 2018 which will see them return to stores with new shipments. No additional information was given.
