Yet another long-running player within the Overwatch community has decided to leave as the San Francisco Shock announced that Matthew “super“ DeLisi has decided to retire from the scene.
Super is one of the OGs of Overwatch as he has been competing in ranked play since Season 1 and started his pro career back in 2016 for the team -bird noises-. This team stayed together for their brief stint under the Hammers Esports banner before being signed to Luminosity Gaming Evil (LG Evil) at the beginning of 2017. Super had been one of the original members of the San Francisco Shock dating all the way back to the beginning of the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. During his tenure he won two Overwatch League world championships and the Overwatch World Cup 2019 representing the United States.
