While some have expressed interest in returning to the Overwatch scene with the upcoming launch of Overwatch 2, one name stay in the competitive scene has decided to leave. This comes as Talon Esports announced they will no longer be fielding an Overwatch roster and all players and staff are now free agents.
Since their entry into the competitive Overwatch scene back in March 2017, Talon Esports went on to be one of the most dominant teams in the scene massing over $300,000 in prize money over the past 5 years. This roster manged to win Overwatch Contenders: Pacific a record 7 times before transitioning to Korea after the Pacific region was disbanded entirely. This saw the team finishing in the top 4 in all seasons of Contenders: Korea up until this most recent season of Korea B-Sides.
