In a recent video, Respawn Entertainment Lead Engineer Jon Shiring revealed how the studio will deal with server launch failures in Titanfall 2. Shiring noted they will be using the cloud servers of not only Microsoft, but Google, Amazon, and “bare metal” servers around the world. These dedicated servers will handle player movement, physics, AI, and player connectivity.
It was also revealed that the company has partnered with Multiplay, a company based out of the U.K. who specialize in-game server hosting. You can also view the behind-the-scenes video down below…
