Trials of Mana Demo Pulled From Steam Due To Exploit Allowing You To Play Full Game

Square Enix have decided to “temporarily” pull a free demo of Trials of Mana from Steam.

While some were caught off-guard, we have learned thanks to the comments that pirates discovered a bypass method which allowed people to play the full version of the game through the demo. Since then, Square Enix pulled the demo and provided an update making it unplayable to anyone who has previously downloaded it. However, it is still possible to access the demo if you start Steam in offline mode.

The company have since stated the the demo will be coming back at a later time. Stating:

[We ]hope to have it back up again very soon. Please rest assured, all progress made by those who have downloaded and played the demo will remain and be carried over when it’s back online.”
