Update: Breslau went on to note that Twitch’s new VP of Content Michael Aragon was the one who issued these releases and did it over Google Hangouts. The releases were immediate and is said that morale within Twitch is at an all-time low.
Original: According to gaming consultant Rod Breslau, Twitch laid off 25 employees yesterday. These layoffs are from Twitch Studios in the marketing/community teams with some high-profile employees being some of the names.
It’s believed this is due to the company overhiring.
It’s worth noting that Breslau used anonymous sources within the company.
