Vince McMahon Tells Performers To Not Use Twitch Or YouTube

Thanks to a new report originally posted on Wrestling Inc., Vince McMahon told talent that he no longer wanted them to “engage with outside third parties” such as Twitch, YouTube, Cameo, and TikTok.

It is said that talent have 30 days to stop engaging with these platforms or face penalties including fines, suspension, and even termination.

Part of the letter reads:

“Some of you are engaged with outside third parties using your name and likeness in ways that are detrimental to our company. It is imperative that these activities be terminated within the next 30 days (by Friday October 2). Continued violations will result in fines, suspension, or termination at WWE’s discretion.”

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, several talent are not happy about it as WWE are currently not running house shows and merchandise sales have taken a massive drop due to COVID-19.

This has become such a topic outside of the wrestling industry that it has now started to trend on Twitter and even former presidential candidate Andrew Yang and former WWE superstar turned Hollywood megastar Dave Batista chimed in on the matter.

Some of the current WWE talent that use these third-part platforms include AJ Styles, Asuka, Paige, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Xavier Woods.
