In a new blog post, YouTube announced they have entered a partnership with Shopify to allow creators to display products throughout their channels.
In addition, the company also revealed it will dedicate a section of the Explore tab to a “shopping destination” that will display shoppable content. The first countries where this will be implemented are India, Brazil, and the United States.
YouTubers will also have the ability to tag products during a livestream. This means that those who like what they can see can click on the link and the streamer can receive a small commission if the viewer makes a purchase.
