Yusuke Naora announced in a series of tweets on Twitter that he is leaving Square Enix. Naora worked for Square Enix for 24 years and was the Art Director for several of the Final Fantasy games including Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X, and the soon to be released XV. Naora also worked as a Field Graphic Designer for Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger.
Naora stated..
“On September 30, I resigned from Square Enix after working for them for 24 years. With my family in mind, I’ll be going back to my home town of Izumo. Yesterday, Taba-chan (Hajime Tabata) showed me the ending of Final Fantasy XV. It was my final job, and it has the best ending. Everyone has been amazing! We did a great job. I’m a little regretful that the release date was pushed back, but I’m happy to be given credit. After my resignation, I will continue doing illustrations, designs, and the like as jobs for Square Enix, and want to take on various challenges, so I appreciate your support. I’m grateful for all the experiences I was able to have with so many people.”
